The vision? The integration of a flexible e-commerce marketplace into an existing, relatively static system - without compromising performance or user-friendliness.
At the heart of the solution was the implementation of Medusa JS as the e-commerce engine. Medusa was developed for headless and modular commerce and offered the flexibility required by GMC-I Service. However, integration into the existing customer portal was not easy.
One of the biggest challenges: a complex authentication flow between the existing IZYCHECK system and the new Medusa backend. byte5 developed a customised bridge to ensure seamless login and secure user synchronisation.
With the new shop function in IZYCHECK, our customers can finally order spare parts just as easily as they manage orders. Byte5 has implemented this superbly.
