Max Planck Society – Project Profile

As an experienced Laravel Diamond partner, byte5 won the tender of the Max Planck Society. This mission-critical web project is about high-performance with Laravel and Kubernetes.

The Client

The Max Planck Society for the Promotion of Science (MPG) is Germany's most successful research institution. Founded in 1948, the society consists of 86 Max Planck Institutes and facilities that conduct basic research in the service of the general public in diverse scientific disciplines. The non-profit Max Planck Society, headquartered in Berlin, is internationally renowned - not least because it publishes thousands of specialist publications and 20 Nobel Prize winners are members of the MPG.

The Highlights

For the implementation of a self-service portal for its employees based on Laravel and Kubernetes, the Max Planck Society had published a public tender. byte5 also submitted a technical proposal. Because byte5's portfolio covered all the requirements of the tender, the MPG chose the Laravel diamond partner from Frankfurt.

In this mission-critical web project, the byte5 development team ensures high-performance and high-availability. Other focus topics are the creation of a qualified electronic signature and the management of authentication and authorisation options in the new portal.
