For several years now, we at byte5 have been dealing with the efficient management of data in order to achieve the best possible results for our customers. Starting in 2021, we have relied on the award-winning open source solution Pimcore as our core technology. Therefore, byte5 CTO Marcel and COO Chris were guests at this year's partner event. Here is a review.
On September 27, the Austrian PIM platform hosted its eighth annual partner event in Salzburg: the Mountain Summit. Chris and Marcel also took this opportunity to establish personal contacts with the Pimcore team as well as the more than 80 international partner companies and to get the latest first-hand info.

What were the key aspects of the event?
The presentation of innovations in the upcoming Pimcore version was a focus of the various talks. The growth of the team and the expansion into further markets were also addressed.
What was particularly informative or interesting, and what was new for you?
The sophisticated new partner program with two further differentiation into Platinum and Global Partner. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to reveal details yet.
What did you particularly like about the event?
The vacation feeling in the location with a view into the valley to Salzburg.

Just in time for Mountain Summit, Pimcore announced a $12 million Series B deal on September 27. The investment from German tech growth fund Nordwind Growth is intended to drive Pimcore's global expansion. Other goals include commercialization of the open source platform and further development of data and experience management functionalities. Pimcore thus aims to "revolutionize the data and experience management industry, traditionally dominated by legacy products, through enhanced open source functionalities and new professional subscription and service offerings" (Pimcore).
We are excited to take this step together with Pimcore and our customers.
