Normally, we from byte5 would have made our way to Odense in Denmark together with hundreds of other Umbracians from all over the world. Because like every summer, it's that time again: the Codegarden is coming up. But instead of travelling to the Umbraco headquarters, this year we're making ourselves comfortable in front of our screens at home and looking forward to an event of a different kind.
After the world's largest Umbraco CMS Conference 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled due to Corona, the event will take place virtually in 2021 from 09 to 11 June - and for free! Of course, byte5 as Umbraco Gold Partner will also be there. We have already prepared the popcorn: Current news from the headquarters, high-quality talks, the MVP and Umbraco Awards and of course many familiar, but also new faces from the community are waiting for us.
Codegarden 2021 will be the biggest Umbraco event ever - a virtual conference about all things Umbraco. […] You will not leave empty-handed from any session. You will be inspired, challenged, get new ideas & learn things you can immediately take back to work with you. You will also network and become friends with like-minded people across the world and industry thanks to the friendliest developer community ever.

As every year, also the online version of Codegarden 2021 offers participants a top-class programme with lots of information and opportunities for exchange with the community. On Wednesday, 9 June, the Umbraco Awards will kick things off and honour the most impressive Umbraco projects of the past year. These will be awarded in nine categories, among others for the best cloud solution, the best editing experience or as Jury's Choice Award. Afterwards, of course, the famous Codegarden Pre-Party is not to be missed. Breakout rooms, games, bingo and other activities offer the opportunity to get to know the community and meet up with old friends.

The motto for 10 June is "News from the Headquater". The topics will include Umbraco Cloud, Umbraco 9 and Performance Tuning. The opening keynote this year will be held by Chief Friend Maker Kim Sneum Madesen. The MVP Awards for those Umbracians who have made a special contribution to the community and Umbraco in the past year will also be presented on the second day.
On day three, there will be two stages for speakers from the community. There will also be various unconferences throughout the day, where the most important questions can be discussed with the speakers in a kind of panel discussion. The Package Awards will also be presented for the first time on 11 June. These will be awarded to packages that are particularly innovative or user-friendly, for example. Of course, the after-show party will not be missing at the end of this year's event.
For all those interested, registration is still possible here.
Here you will also find more information about the speakers and the detailed schedule. We are looking forward to seeing you!
